Sherri
Langburt '89
I
attended Herzliah Snowdon from 1985-1989. After
graduating, I attended Vanier College where I studied Commerce and then
earned
a Bachelor of Art in Film and Communications from McGill University. I
have
spent my career in new media and technology, living in New York
City, and
acted as the General Manager for Weight Watchers Canada before
launching my own
business Single Edition Media,
which is a lifestyle company which focuses on all aspects of single
living.
As
for memorable Herzliah moments, there were so many of
them. From Mrs. Adesky pushing me to compete against grade 9, 10, 11 in
the
public speaking competition when I was in the seventh grade to
performing in
the variety and fashion shows though never as a dancer! Trips to
Israel,
Stratford Ontario, crazy shabbatons and lunches in Plattsburgh, are
always fond
memories as are ski nights and the inter-school dances. Ultimately, is
was the
teachers, students and a Jewish education which made a lasting
impression and
shaped me as an individual and continue to do so each day.
Sincerely,
Sherri Langburt Click here to read more...

Andrew Myers '03
Jon Roskies Award for New Leadership
The Herzliah/UTT
community congratulates alumnus Andrew Myers on being the recipient of the
Roskies award which recognizes the potential of young people, encouraging their
commitment to community work and nurturing their development by expanding the
scope of Jewish experience. Andrew, a Judaica Program student, was
invaluable to the school in organizing and executing a multitude of school
programs and activities. One of his many contributions was, in Secondary III,
his work as the developer and webmaster of the first UTT/Herzliah website.
We are thrilled to see our alumni become so involved in the community and
showing such strong leadership capabilities. Mazel tov!
